Slouch hat details
Today is Wednesday and I have taken the day off to be here with Alaska. She is having more pain from her tonsillectomy today than she did yesterday. Poor girl. While I am home, I will be doing homework, laundry, house-cleaning, and if time permits, knitting! I finished my first slouch hat the other day but it wasn't slouching! I looked online and realized my instructions did not include what to do with a slouch hat AFTER knitting it. You have to get it wet and then put it on a dinner plate to dry. I did that last night and when I checked it this morning, it was perfect! The plate process not only allows for the right shape, it also lets the lace pattern (if you have one) to spread out and look lacy!
